This month you honored black filmmakers and I am a filmmaker. I was able to share with Mekhi that I worked with one of the filmmakers who you highlighted, Amma Asante.

We’ve been using Imagine Me Stories for years now — my oldest is six, and I also have a four-year-old and a two-year-old. It’s been such a consistent, beautiful part of their childhood. They absolutely love the books, the activities, the excitement of getting their own special delivery. And as a mum, it means so much to me that they’re growing up seeing themselves represented learning Black history, discovering stories that centre them, and building a strong, joyful sense of identity from early on.
